"Roxy" in all her glory! On the weekend of April 23,24 and 25th, 2010, Roxy rocked it in the ring and would have had a 9pt. weekend, one tiny point away from her Canadian Championship, if not for first time jitters on the Friday. The judge, Mrs. Deborah Graffman, of Kilbridge Ontario, told our handler Carmen Miskman...of Miskre Danes,.that, had Roxy not spooked out of her collar she would have given her the win. She did give her reserve winner which we found very exciting even though no points are given for such a placement. Saturday under judge. Patricio Muza from Argentina and Sunday under judge Dr. Manuel R. Rangel from Mexico, Roxy was triumphant, receiving both winners bitch and best of alternates, 3pts. each day! We all must be so thrilled because her wins came against some very beautifully bred Canadian dogs from such well known and respected kennels as Dantry Danes, Boarhunters, and Bosworth. Special thanks to Deborah Beaven of Sandalwood Great Danes for putting us in touch with Carmen, our wonderful and persistent handler; our breeder Brian Witmier of Brinlann Great Danes for trusting us with such a magnificent specimen of his hard work in perfecting the ultimate "elegant type" Great Dane; Dianne Plamondom of Dicar Danes for making sure we would forever be addicted to Great Danes by giving us our beloved late Mercedes; granddaughter of her beloved Reanns king "Krona"; "BIS B I S S Can/ Am Ch. Reann's Pride Kron Jewel"; to our new and amazing friends and Roxy's number 1, 2 and 3 fans, Stacy Fischer and her built- in daily, enthusiastic, " boot camp tag team", Luke and Lucy, Roxy's adores Dane playmates who insist on her staying in top super model shape; and last but not least Joana of Joana Danes in Trois Riviere Quebec...who is solely responsible for finding us both Roxy and Brian. Brians amazing blood lines and the pictures he sent us of Roxy at 11 weeks old, also had the blessing of non other than Anita Langevin, the "grande dame" of the Reanns blood line! Thank you Joana from the bottom of our hearts for your meticulous attention to every detail, that went into finding our perfect puppy! Look at her now my expert friends! We have been blessed to have the guidance of these people who have all been in Danes for over 25 years. The Bokors are merely reaping the rewards and excitement of these extraordinarily committed people to the most magnificent breed on earth!
